Jon
Daye's News Talk was created by JDTV Productions,
Inc. as a news, informational, entertainment program. Jon Daye
is a twenty five year veteran of radio and
television who knows how to conduct an interview in an
entertaining,
provocative
manner that will inspire and uplift not only the
viewers but in some cases the guest.
The thought provoking opted
to use the freedom of cable television
rather than
the more rigid broadcast television. On
cable he has the freedom to express his
brilliance.
Jon has
interviewed some of the movers and shakers of this nation,
including the
Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., Senator Carol
Moseley-Braun, Dr. Mae Jemison,
Gov. Doug Wilder, Gov. James
(Jim) Thompson, Min. Louis Farrakhan and Richard Roundtree,
to name a few.
Jon is a
published poet (wild Flowers, 1986; Naked and Nappy 1997) his new autobiography
is
due in February, 2001. For the past
twenty three years, Jon has been the producer of
a program essential to developing pride
and celebrating the accomplishments
and
contributions of African American women; the annual
Kizzy
Awards
and Gala. The gala is a benefit for the Kizzy
Special Student Fund which funds outreach efforts
for children in West Africa.
